Jurikota Lake is located in the slopes of Condoriri mountain, and impresive landscape waiting for you, a short trek with amazing views of the Bolivian Condodriri Range, for this trek you don’t need a lot of gear with you, only a good pair of trekking boots and a pair of trekking poles. At around 8.00 am you will be picked up from your accommodation. The 2-hour-drive passes through El Alto and onto the Altiplano where you start to see the Andean landscape and mountain ranges. We arrive at the Lake Jurikota (4600mts) on the car, and we prepare to walk.
At our arrival you will be witnessing stunning mountain landscapes. The path turns northwards contouring the lake towards the Condoriri Mountain. The walking is easy and gradually climbs in altitude. We will continue along the trail until arriving at a glacier Lagoon(4800m) where you will have a well earned rest and problably lunch surrounded by stunning snow capped peaks like “Varsovia”and “Condoriri”, It should take around 1 to 2 hours to arrive here. If you cannot get to the glacier lagoon, we could walk around the beautiful Jurikota lake.
After some well earned rest, we will start descending and will contour the lagoon Jurikota, this time on the other side. You should arrive back to La Paz around 18.00 / 19.00 (depending on your trekking speed and traffic).
